1. Nature of the Service
Maasport is strictly a communication platform designed to connect exchange students. We are not a real estate broker, property manager, landlord, or party to any housing agreement. We do not verify the legality of any swap, the condition of properties, or the background of users.
2. User Responsibilities
You agree to negotiate and sign your own legally binding contracts with your swap partner. You are solely responsible for obtaining necessary permissions from your landlord, housing corporation, or university before swapping. You are responsible for any damages, unpaid rent, or legal issues arising from your swap.
3. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by EU law, Maasport and its creators shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to: property damage, theft, personal injury, cancelled swaps, fraud, or disputes between users. You use this platform and enter into swaps entirely at your own risk.
4. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or receive consistent negative reviews.

2. Data Usage: Your data is used exclusively to operate Maasport. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. User Rights: Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request the complete deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting the administrator.
4. Cookies: We use essential local storage mechanisms to keep you logged into the application securely.
Get Permission: Always ensure your landlord explicitly allows subletting or swapping.
Sign a Contract: Do not rely purely on chat messages. Sign a formal, written agreement with your swap partner detailing dates, rent responsibilities, and emergency contacts.
Verify Identity: Request to see a student ID or have a video call before committing.
Protect Valuables: Lock away or remove highly valuable items before your partner arrives.
